Bishops Square

Rooftop Office Extension

Virtus were engaged by Hines for the Project Management and Quantity Surveying for the refurbishment and extension to Bishops Square.

Originally constructed in 2002, Bishops Square is home to Tourism Ireland and the Office of Public Works among others and includes and café at ground floor.

The office building as originally constructed was arranged over 5 floors and a basement level car park.  The project scope involved extensions to the existing 4th and 5th floors and provision of a brand new 6th floor.

The project provided an additional 47,000 sq.ft. of modern Grade A office space as well as significantly upgrading internal finishes.

Virtus managed the initial design and tender process to ensure the client’s objectives were met and brought the project through to completion as part of a Design and Build contract. Significant client and third party liaison was required throughout to ensure the existing tenant operations were not impacted by the project.
