Virtus were engaged by Hines Ireland at initial concept design stage to manage the procurement of a suitably qualified concept / planning design team and to deliver planning for the various elements of the overall Cherrywood Town Centre including TC1 residential which was granted planning in May 2018.
The scheme consists of 317 residential units including a mix of studio, 1bed, 2bed and three bed apartment units and also includes ground floor retail, private communal areas and roof top terrace with a total area of circa 30,000sqm. The development is divided into three blocks of five stories with an eight storey upward modifier fronting on to Cherrywood square plaza to create a defined quality urban environment.
Virtus have continued as Project Managers post planning and are currently managing the detailed design stage and contractor procurement with an estimated start time on site of early 2020. As part of the detailed design we have value engineered the basement which has resulted in a minor re-design which is currently going through an amended planning process to accommodate commencement early 2020 with approx. 28 month on site program envisaged.
