Located on O’Connell Street, the new 198 bedroom 3* Holiday Inn Express was once a disused and decaying 1970’s office building, the hotel is now one of the most popular and highly rated hotels in Dublin.
The hotel is the first 4th Generation Holiday Inn Express to open in Ireland. The project involved the conversion of the existing Findlater House office block to a new hotel.
The works include the complete soft strip of the building, removal of plantrooms, removal of the existing façade, the reconfiguration of the internal cores and construction of one additional floor. The new façade consist of granite cladding and aluminium curtain walling.
The project was construction under a Design & Build Contract with McAleer & Rushe.
By applying our extensive experience in the project management and quantity surveying of hotel projects we ensured that the project was both delivered on time and within budget and in full compliance with the IHG hotel brand standards.
