Virtus were engaged by Plato Capital for the Project Management and Quantity Surveying for the development of the new pre-fabricated hotel in Royal Arsenal, Woolwich, London which forms part of the regeneration scheme being carried out by Berkeley Homes as part of their Royal Arsenal regeneration programme. Operated by Radisson under their Park Inn brand, the hotel comprises 130 bedrooms with associated public areas, receptions, bars etc. The hotel comprised the manufacture of pre-fabricated fully fitted bedroom containers in China which were lifted into position over a two week period. This process required strict quality control and compliance pre-sign off procedures in the factory in China.
By applying our extensive experience in the project management and quantity surveying of hotel projects we ensured that the right processes, compliance standards and project structures were put in place from the commencement of the project to ensure to pre-fabrication was a success.
